The City of Gilroy Police Department is seeking an Academy Graduate for the Police Officer role. The position offers a broad salary range from $136,326 to $182,220, with opportunities for step-based increases and specialized assignments across investigations, traffic, K-9, SWAT, and community programs.

Qualified applicants must complete a POST-approved basic academy, be at least 21, and pass a physical agility test.

Qualifications

• Academy Graduate: Any combination of education, training or experience equivalent to graduation from high school or possession of a G.E.D. certificate, and completion of a P.O.S.T. approved basic academy.

Responsabilités

• Patrol assigned beat and enforce laws, protect life and property, maintain a calm and safe community.
• Investigate incidents, prepare reports, make arrests, respond to calls, and participate in training and community engagement.
