An established industry player is seeking a dedicated law enforcement officer to join their team at a behavioral healthcare facility. In this dynamic role, you will patrol the property, monitor traffic, and assist in emergency situations. Your responsibilities will include investigating complaints and conducting various investigations while ensuring the safety and security of the facility. What you’ll do at OhioMHAS:
This is an hourly position covered by the State of Ohio Unit 2 bargaining unit, with a pay range of 10 on the Unit 2 Pay Range Schedule. This position is located within our Appalachian Behavioral Healthcare Facility at 100 Hospital Drive, Athens, Ohio 45701.
Unless required by any applicable union contract and/or requirements of the Ohio Revised Code, the selected candidate will begin at Step 1 of the pay range schedule listed above, with an opportunity for pay increase after six months of satisfactory performance and then a yearly raise thereafter.
Additional Salary / Appointment Information:
Possession of certificate having successfully completed approved basic peace officer training program or completion of 20 yrs. active duty as peace officer per Section 109.78(D) of Ohio revised code; valid driver's license. Probationary period is one year. Note: Applicant must be able to successfully perform Ohio Peace Officer Basic Training Program (OPOTC) Fitness Testing Entry Standards for New Recruits.
