The Air Force Test Center is looking for a Full-Time Position Police Officer (GS-0083-07) to work at the 96 TW, 96 MSG, 96 SFS at Eglin Air Force Base. The primary purpose of the position is to perform law enforcement work to maintain law and order, preserve the peace, protect life and civil rights, detect and investigate crimes, arrest or apprehend violators, and perform patrols within the assigned jurisdictions.
Location: Eglin Air Force Base. Typical 2026 salary range: $54,314 - $70,609 per year (including locality). Telework Information: Position not eligible for telework. Travel Requirements: Up to 25% travel possible. Direct Hire Authority: NO 6-MONTH WAIT! Recently retired and/or retiring from MILITARY service ARE eligible for immediate appointment for AFTC positions. The 180-day waiting period has been waived for AFTC to hire recently retired and/or retiring service members.
Must have one year of armed law enforcement, corrections, or security experience.
