The Shawnee Police Department is currently hiring multiple candidates, both entry-level and certified! The general purpose of the Police Officer position is to promote community safety and security through lawful law enforcement duties. We are accepting applications for Certified and non-certified Police Officers. Starting salary begins at $61,500 per year with no experience, and up to $75,543 for certified officers at the discretion of the Chief of Police; up to $100,000 after 8 years with step and merit increases.
Daily duties include responding to calls, patrolling, investigating crimes, citing and arresting violators, preparing reports, and protecting persons and property. When not on calls, officers should self-assign work priorities as directed by supervisors.
Minimum Qualifications:
