The City of Ripon is accepting applications for the position of Police Officer from current sworn law enforcement officers and candidates eligible for certification as of 12/31/26. Lateral transfer salary and vacation time adjustments are available for qualified candidates with prior experience as a certified law enforcement officer.

The department operates a 4 days on, 5 days off, 12-hour shift rotation. Applicants must be at least 21, possess or obtain a Wisconsin driver’s license, and be LESB

Qualifications

Job description

Candidates must be at least 21 years of age, have excellent character, possess or be able to obtain a valid Wisconsin driver\u2019s license, and be able to perform the essential functions of a law enforcement officer. Candidates must be LESB certifiable before being hired, which includes having completed a minimum of 60 college credits, successfully completed a Wisconsin Basic Recruit School by 12/31/26, or be able to pass the State Reciprocity Exam. Lateral transfer salary and vacation time adjustments are available for qualified candidates with prior experience as a certified law enforcement officer.
