Brown Deer Police Department is accepting applications for a Full-Time lateral transfer program. Certified officers may join with prior sworn experience and enter on an accelerated pay scale, vacation, and sick time schedule. Salary ranges from $67,325.04 to $95,732.94 per year, with full benefits and a 30-day sick leave advancement after 90 days.

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications including U.S. citizenship, age 20, and eligibility for Wisconsin certification.

Lateral Transfer Program Details

The Brown Deer Police Department accepts lateral transfers of certified law enforcement officers.

The years of service that a lateral transfer has accumulated through prior sworn experience will place new hires on an accelerated pay scale, vacation scale, and sick time.

Pay Scale

• 1+ years: $76,211.45 $77,354.62 $78,128.17
• 2+ years: $83,128.60 $84,375.53 $85,219.28
• 3+ years: $87,358.79 $84,375.53 $89,555.86
• 4+ years: $92,944.60 $94,338.77 $95,282.15
• 5+ years: $95,732.94 $97,168.93 $98,140.62

Vacation Allowance

Lateral transfers will receive recognition equal to the number of full years of service as a full-time sworn law enforcement officer, as it relates to the collective bargaining agreement.

Sick Leave
