The Tibor Rubin VA Medical Center is currently recruiting for one Police Officer in the Police Service located in Long Beach, CA.
Police Officers carry out responsibilities primarily on Veterans Affairs Departmental properties, including any properties owned, leased, or licensed to VA.

To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
GS-06 grade level: One year of specialized experience (equivalent to GS-05) involving knowledge of laws, regulations, law enforcement operations, and responsibilities related to maintaining order and protecting life and property. Such experience may include work on a police force, military police, law enforcement in parks or natural resource environments, criminal investigations, or similar roles.
Experience includes paid, unpaid, volunteer work, and service through programs like Peace Corps or AmeriCorps. Volunteer work counts towards experience to build skills and competencies.
Note: A full year of work is considered 35-40 hours per week. Part-time experience is credited proportionally. Applicants should specify duties, responsibilities, and hours worked.
