Job summary

City of Jersey Village is seeking a dedicated Police Officer to patrol neighborhoods, respond to emergencies, and protect residents in the Houston area. You will uphold laws with integrity and engage with the community to build trust while serving a growing city with pride.

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or GED, completion of a certified TCOLE police academy, and a valid Texas driver's license. Two years of law enforcement experience are required; five years are preferred.

• Salary: The posted salary reflects min - max range; however, hiring range is min - mid. Compensation (within the posted salary range) commensurate with experience and qualifications.

What We're Looking For:

• Age: 21 years or older.


• Education: High school diploma or GED required; further education in Criminal Justice is a plus! Completion of a certified TCOLE police academy.


• Experience: Two years (2) of law enforcement experience is required to apply for the position. Five years (5) experience is preferred along with an Intermediate TCOLE License.


• Background: Clean criminal record and valid Texas driver's license.


• Skills: Strong communication, quick decision-making, and ability to handle high-pressure situations.


• Flexibility: Willingness to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
