Job summary

City of Jersey Village seeks a Police Officer to patrol neighborhoods, respond to emergencies, and protect the community with integrity. The role emphasizes community engagement and professional conduct while maintaining public safety.

Applicants must be 21+, hold a high school diploma or GED, complete a TCOLE police academy, and have at least 2 years of law enforcement experience (5 preferred) with a valid Texas driver’s license. Strong communication and judgment are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Age: 21 years or older.
• Education: High school diploma or GED required; further education in Criminal Justice is a plus; Completion of a certified TCOLE police academy.
• Experience: Two years of law enforcement experience required; Five years preferred with an Intermediate TCOLE License.
• Background: Clean criminal record and valid Texas driver's license.
• Skills: Strong communication, quick decision-making, and ability to handle high-pressure situations.
• Flexibility: Willingness to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
