Job summary

The City of Jersey Village Police Department is seeking a dedicated Police Officer to patrol neighborhoods, respond to emergencies, and uphold the law with integrity. You will investigate crimes, gather evidence and protect citizens with respect, while building trust with the community.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old.
• Two years of law enforcement experience required.
• Five years experience preferred with an Intermediate TCOLE License.
• Clean criminal record and valid Texas driver’s license.

• Salary: The posted salary reflects min - max range; however, hiring range is min - mid. Compensation (within the posted salary range) commensurate with experience and qualifications.

What We're Looking For:

• Age: 21 years or older.
• Education: High school diploma or GED required; further education in Criminal Justice is a plus! Completion of a certified TCOLE police academy.
• Experience: Two years (2) of law enforcement experience is required to apply for the position. Five years (5) experience is preferred along with an Intermediate TCOLE License.
• Background: Clean criminal record and valid Texas driver's license.
• Skills: Strong communication, quick decision-making, and ability to handle high-pressure situations.
• Flexibility: Willingness to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
