The university police officer is a member of the University Police Department, which serves and protects the campus community.
The officer is responsible for maintaining a positive relationship with the university community, maintaining a secure environment, mitigating safety hazards, being observant and responding to actual and suspected criminal activity on campus, controlling and regulating traffic, and investigating security, safety, crime, and traffic incidents.
The university police officer is dedicated to educating, mentoring, and contributing to the success of the university community.
