Position Summary
Under the general supervision of the Chief of Police, and assigned under the direct supervision of Sergeants and the Lieutenant, the Police Officer is responsible for all general uniform police operations, which may place the employee's life or personal safety at risk. Operations include patrolling the City of Draper to prevent or detect crime, enforce laws and ordinances, respond to threats to public safety, make emergency decisions, and provide community protection.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of law enforcement principles, laws, and procedures.
- Skills in using firearms, police vehicles, and specialized equipment.
- Strong interpersonal skills, objectivity, integrity, effective communication, stress management, problem-solving, and legal knowledge related to law enforcement.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands
Must pass annual physical fitness test. Work generally performed in controlled environments but subject to weather extremes and hazards. Physical mobility, strength, and mental alertness are required to perform duties effectively.
