Our police officers serve as the face of the SF Fed, both as frontline defenders and community ambassadors. The Twelfth District Police Services aims to provide a safe environment for the Federal Reserve Bank, safeguarding facilities, operations, and assets.

All officers are Federally Sworn Law Enforcement Officers, expected to uphold their responsibilities. We seek individuals who are team players, open to leadership roles, and eager for growth, whether experienced or new to law enforcement.

Note: Due to fluctuating vacancy rates, a waitlist may be in effect for up to 6 months or longer.

Essential Job Functions

• Operate as a Law Enforcement Officer, protecting the Bank's grounds, property, and personnel, including making arrests and providing testimony.
• Monitor metal detectors, use detection wands and x-ray machines to scan visitors and packages.
• Control access for persons and vehicles beyond public areas, and monitor surveillance and communication equipment.
• Operate emergency equipment, such as firearms, rescue, medical, and firefighting tools.
• Patrol the premises, report unusual activities, and safeguard valuables.
• Respond to emergencies, alarms, and threats to ensure safety and security.
