Visa Information

TTUHSC, at its sole discretion, may initiate new H-1B I-129 visapetitions in accordance with the directive issued by GovernorAbbott. Position Description

Performs all aspects of police duties on the campus and otheruniversity property. Duties include but are not limited to,enforcing state laws and university rules and regulations. Positionmay also perform some related security functions. Work is performedunder general supervision in accordance with established proceduresand is evaluated on the effective implementation of University andstate regulations and adherence to departmental guidelines.

Major/Essential Functions

• Patrol buildings and grounds to prevent thefts, vandalism,illegal entry and circulate among visitors, patrons, employees andstaff to preserve order and protect property.


• Patrol buildings and parking lots to maintain security and toprevent and detect signs of intrusion by unauthorized persons,theft or vandalism.


• Lock and unlock buildings, offices or doors as necessary.


• Monitor security and fire alarms and closely observe CCTVscreens for situations needing intervention by guards, policeofficers or fire department and request assistance asnecessary.


• Operate two-way radios within department guidelines and FCCregulations to keep the department informed of security concerns orissues.


• Prepare, process and issue HSC identification badges tofaculty, staff and employees ensuring that proper authorization andidentification are presented.

Occasional Duties

• Provide or assist in the training of new guard employees.


• Provide crowd control and personal safety security at athleticevents, university functions, graduations, etc... for staff,employees and visitors.


• Provide security of crime scenes when needed.


• All other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
