Job summary

The City of Bozeman is seeking a Police Logistics Coordinator for the Bozeman Police Department. This role ensures officers have equipment, vehicles, gear, and supplies needed to stay safe and effective in the field.

You will manage inventory, coordinate vendors, research equipment, and pursue cost-saving opportunities while supporting day-to-day operations and community safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• Associates in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years in inventory management, purchasing, logistics coordination, or related duties.
• Ability to obtain CJIN/NCIC certifications within 180 days.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate procurement, inventory management, distribution, and lifecycle tracking of equipment and supplies.
• Coordinate purchasing and issuance of uniforms, gear, vehicle supplies, radio equipment, and safety equipment.
• Maintain department inventory control systems and accurate asset records.
• Research and recommend cost-saving procurement strategies and vendors.
• Assist with grant opportunities related to equipment and resources.
• Coordinate vehicle outfitting, maintenance, and equipment integrations with vendors.
• Prepare procurement documentation and ensure compliance with policies.
