Job summary

City of Goodyear is seeking a highly experienced law enforcement leader to oversee Patrol, Investigations, and the Office of the Chief. You will command on-scene operations during major incidents and manage sworn and civilian personnel while guiding policy and budget decisions.

The ideal candidate brings AZPOST certification, 8+ years of sworn service with three years as a Sergeant, and a Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• AZPOST certification in good standing is required.
• Minimum of 8 years in law enforcement with 3 years as a Sergeant.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or relevant work experience considered with application.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Patrol, Investigations, or Office of the Chief divisions.
• Command incidents & major emergencies; oversee sworn and civilian staff.
• Develop division goals, policies and procedures; manage budgets and staffing.
