Job summary

The City of Chandler Police Department is seeking a Police Lieutenant to lead a designated section and supervise personnel. Ideal candidates will have a battle-tested background in field operations and a commitment to professional standards.

The role requires current rank of Police Sergeant or higher, AZPOST certification, and service with a department of 100+ sworn personnel. A varied schedule and probationary period apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
• Must currently hold the rank of Police Sergeant or above.
• Must currently serve with a law enforcement agency with 100+ sworn personnel.
• Must possess an AZPOST Certification.
• Must possess a valid Arizona Driver's License with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise and review the activities of all personnel assigned to a section.
• Act as duty commander of the Police Department.
• Perform duties of other Public Safety Department personnel as required.
