Job summary

DelDOT seeks a detail-oriented analyst to research, collect, correlate, and analyze criminal intelligence and policing standards in Delaware. You will prepare charts, graphs, and databases, and share findings with interagency partners.

The role supports accreditation standards and pursuit of best practices for Delaware police departments. The candidate will engage in data-driven analysis, attend interagency meetings, and maintain data systems while ensuring compliance with federal regulations

Qualifications

• Six months experience in criminal investigation or intelligence.
• Six months experience in research, collection, correlation, and analysis.
• Six months experience in interpreting criminal laws, rules, regulations, standards, policies, and procedures.
• Six months experience using an automated information system.
• Six months experience using spreadsheet software.
• Knowledge of inferential statistics used to calculate probability.
• Knowledge of federal regulations regarding the collection and dissemination of criminal intelligence information.

Responsibilities

• Conducts research on criminals or suspected criminals via systems or direct contact.
• Collects, analyzes, and organizes information to identify trends and groups.
• Performs spreadsheet analysis and creates visual data representations.
• Conducts crime analysis and crime mapping to support investigations.
• Performs link analysis to uncover connections between subjects.
• Gathers intelligence during critical incidents and prepares reports and charts.
