Job summary

The Waco ISD Police Department seeks a Supervisor - Police Field Service to assist in managing district police personnel and daily operations at district facilities, enforcing laws and district policies, and overseeing criminal investigations.

Qualified candidates will have TCOLE Advanced Peace Officer Certification, Field Training Officer, supervisory experience, and at least five years as a police officer.

Qualifications

• GED/High School diploma required; college preferred.
• TCOLE Advanced Peace Officer Certification required.
• TCOLE Certified Field Training Officer preferred.
• TCOLE First-Line Supervisor certification required.
• TCOLE Instructors' License preferred.
• Valid Texas Class C Driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Function as a peace officer and aid citizens when appropriate.
• Maintain understanding of current federal, state and local laws pertaining to the WISD Police department.
• Supervise CID and related personnel including gang liaison, crime scene technicians, and Property Room custodians.
• Respond to major crime scenes and direct investigations; conduct interviews.
• Ensure investigations are conducted timely and documented for district attorney review.
• Manage case reviews and approvals for follow-up investigations.
• Review follow-up investigations prior to CID assignment.
• Conduct internal complaint investigations as directed by the chief of police.
