Job summary

The Biltmore Company is seeking a Police Telecommunicator to receive and respond to emergency and non-emergency requests, dispatch units, and monitor alarms and CCTV systems. The role supports leadership and public safety across the estate.

Base pay starts at $17.09/hour with a $1.25 second shift differential, totaling $18.34/hour. Shifts are typically 3:00 pm–11:00 pm, with night shifts as needed; full time is 32+ hours weekly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; DCI computer operator certification preferred.
• Must be able to obtain NC Telecommunicator certificate.
• At least 1 year of related field experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receives and prioritizes emergency and non-emergency calls for service.
• Operates multi-frequency, multi-radio communication system.
• Dispatches Company Police and other departments to calls.
• Answers emergency and routine phone calls.
• Maintains communication with parties in emergencies.
• Condenses and records information into logs and reporting systems.
• Relays vital information to 911 for external response.
• Monitors alarms and CCTV; assists leadership and departments.
• Dispatches personnel to alarm activations.
