Job summary

The City of Fort Worth is seeking a Data Reporting Technician for the Police Department – Police Data Reporting Unit. The role supports public inquiries and handles a variety of clerical and data reporting tasks.

Responsibilities include high-volume calling to document offenses, updating computer systems, and maintaining detailed records. CJIS background check and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Two years of related clerical or data reporting experience.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred for public interactions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct a high volume of telephone calls to citizens who have been victims of a crime to document incidents.
• Record detailed information including offense type, time, caller name, and report number.
• Maintain and update complex computer systems; process forms and prepare general correspondence.
• Respond to customer inquiries promptly; resolve problems and explain policies.
• Maintain detailed files and records of police offense reports and correspondence.
