Job summary

Central High School is seeking a 2026-2027 Head Coach for Track Pole Vault to lead the athletics program for the sport. You will supervise athletes, develop training plans, and coordinate practices and events to optimize performance and safety.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and strong coaching leadership, organization, and communication. This temporary position reports to the Site Athletic Director and includes the Weight Room Supervisor stipend.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree, required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills essential for program administration.
• Experience in coaching and leading youth athletes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes opposition strategies to inform game plans.
• Monitors student-athlete academic eligibility and provides support as needed.
• Develops practice plans focusing on strength, speed, agility, and injury prevention.
• Schedules practices and events, coordinates staff, and manages logistics.
• Supervises athletes, managers, and volunteers to ensure safe, positive programs.
