Job summary

XKIG in Chesapeake, VA is hiring an Auger Truck Operator to safely transport and install poles and perform trenching work from 10 to 45 feet.

Responsibilities include daily pre-op checks, operating the auger truck, locating utilities per 811 tickets, and traveling to multiple sites. A high school diploma, CDL (class A preferred), DOT Medical Card, and ability to lift 50 lbs are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of 6 months of experience operating an auger truck.
• Must be 18 years of age with a valid CDL and acceptable driving record.
• DOT Medical Card is required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb into/out of bucket trucks.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily pre-operation checks and maintenance on equipment.
• Safely operate an Auger Truck using controls and key panels.
• Set and remove poles ranging from 10 to 45 feet tall.
• Understand 811 miss utility dig tickets and identify utilities.
• Travel to multiple locations and perform duties as assigned.
