At On Target, we are a fast-growing company providing utility services such as power line, telecommunications, metering, and smart grid services throughout the Northeast. Relocation assistance is available.
This position assists the Pole Set crews with utility pole installation and removal projects.
Starting pay is $20.00/hr. DOE.
Your Responsibilities
- Safely perform ground crew tasks following all safety and maintenance standards, including assisting with heavy construction vehicles/equipment in various terrains and working around energized lines.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to meet project requirements, manage inventory and equipment needs, and complete documentation.
- Work a flexible schedule, including overtime and emergency duties such as nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Minimum Requirements
- Valid driver’s license.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical education preferred.
- Experience in construction, including operating equipment and rigging knowledge, preferred.
- Understanding of utility design, construction, and safety standards is preferred.
- Ability to obtain necessary licenses and certifications.
- Courteous communication skills, strong work ethic, self-motivated.
- Organizational skills with attention to detail, ability to multitask.
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. occasionally and 50 lbs. frequently.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and on uneven ground.
- Ability to operate various trade-related equipment and vehicles.
- Visual and hearing capabilities necessary for the role.
