Job summary

Asplundh Careers in Indiana is seeking a Foreperson Utility Pole Inspection to lead a small crew in routine maintenance and remedial treatment of wooden poles used for power lines. You will train on-the-job and in classroom settings during an up to 8-week program and begin with a company vehicle after completion.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ambitious, career-minded, and safety-conscious.
• Computer and smartphone literate.
• Able to read maps and navigate congested areas.
• Able to manage time and workload independently.
• Mechanically inclined with experience using various tools.
• This is an outdoor position; adaptable to weather conditions.
• 40-hour workweek with Saturdays as makeup days.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, manage, and supervise a crew of 1–5 people.
• Maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment.
• Achieve safety, quality, and production goals.
• Collect field data and maintain daily/weekly reports.
