Job summary

Asplundh Careers is seeking a Crew Member for Utility Pole Inspection in Fort Wayne, Indiana. You will learn and perform routine maintenance and remedial treatment of wood poles used for power lines, gaining experience in identifying decay or defects.

The role offers paid on-the-job training, travel accommodations, per-diem, performance incentives, and PPE; must provide workwear and boots. This is a full-time, non-exempt position with a strong safety and quality focus.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to read maps and navigate in congested areas.
• Mechanically inclined and experience with a variety of tools preferred but not required.
• This is a minimum 40-hour workweek with Saturdays considered inclement weather make-up days.
• Must adhere to all Company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Complete routine maintenance and remedial treatment of wood poles.
• Maintain all tools, vehicles, and equipment.
• Achieve expected safety, quality, and production goals.
