Job summary

Millerbernd Manufacturing in Minnesota is seeking a Structural Engineer to coordinate designs and calculations for quotations and submittals. You will analyze and optimize pole designs for manufacturability while collaborating with drafting, sales, and manufacturing teams.

The role requires staying current with AASHTO standards and state DOT requirements, delivering timely technical analysis. The ideal candidate has a civil engineering degree and 2 years of relevant experience, plus proficiency

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate designs and calculations for quotation and submittal.
• Identify design problems and resolve through analysis with stakeholders.
• Optimize pole designs for manufacturability and standardization.
• Provide manufacturing improvement recommendations based on design/spec opportunities.
• Support drafting, sales, manufacturing, quality, estimating with technical analysis.
• Stay up-to-date with AASHTO standards and applications.
• Ensure designs comply with state DOT/county/municipality requirements.
• Develop and refine design tools for efficient analysis.
