Job summary

Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood is seeking an experienced Poker Tournament Manager to design and oversee all casino tournament games. You will coordinate schedules, train dealers, and ensure compliance with gaming rules while maintaining efficient, high-stakes operations.

With seven years of poker experience and supervisory background, you will lead a team, work with Marketing, and promote tournaments via social channels while upholding the company's Mission and Values.

Qualifications

  • Seven years of poker experience with supervisory leadership.
  • Two years as tournament manager or equivalent.
  • Thorough knowledge of TDA rules and procedures.
  • Experience with Bravo Tournament Software.
  • Ability to prepare spreadsheets and documents with Excel/Word.
  • Willing to work varied shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and design tournament game schedules and structures.
  • Train dealers on proper tournament procedures.
  • Organize and supervise casino tournaments as assigned by the Poker Director.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to promote tournaments.
  • Ensure compliance with gaming regulations and internal controls.
  • Monitor performance and adjust operations for smooth tournaments.

Implements tournament procedures and monitors performance of tournament personnel to ensure smooth and efficient gaming operations in accordance with Seminole Hard Rock Casino Hollywood internal controls and the rules and procedures for tournament games.Essential Job Functions:Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations and Seminole Tribe of Florida departmental policies and procedures.Work with Poker Director to establish the design and structure of the various poker tournaments offered by the Casino.Coordinate Tournaments with the Marketing Department.Train Dealers on the proper procedures to be followed for tournament play.Organize and supervise tournaments offered by the Casino as assigned by the Poker Director.Assist in developing procedures for the smooth and efficient operation of the tournaments offered by the Casino.Conduct market comparisons to ensure a competitive product. Stays abreast of the current trends and practices within area of responsibility and communicates pertinent information to management, peers, direct reports and team members as appropriate.Develop department members’ knowledge and skills through education, training, coaching, corrective counseling, etc.Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service by discreetly notifying appropriate management of concerns and observations.Conduct personal behavior and select, train, coach, counsel, appraise and retain direct reports who consistently perform actions and behaviors that reinforce the Company’s Mission and Values of Communication, Integrity, Fun, Respect, Accountability, Passion and Dedication.Demonstrate commitment to assisting in the development of Seminole Tribe members participating in the Tribal Career Development program and, when a Seminole Tribe member’s assignment falls within your direct area of responsibility, act as a personal mentor/career advisor to the Tribe Member and submit progress reports and information to the Director of Tribal Development.Ensure prompt and discreet notification to appropriate management and/or the Ethics Hotline of any observation of illegal acts or internal ethics violations.Develop and maintain a good team spirit and team member morale.Promote positive public/employee relations at all times.Perform other duties as assigned.Actively promote tournaments and poker offerings via social media accounts in a responsible and professional manner adhering to the Seminole Tribe media policies.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent required and seven (7) years minimum poker experience with five (5) years supervisory and two (2) years experience as a tournament manager or higher or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Associates or higher degree preferred.Thorough knowledge and understanding of “TDA” rules and procedures and demonstrated application of these rules & procedures in practicum poker tournament environment.Working knowledge of Bravo Tournament SoftwareAbility to prepare spreadsheets and documents using Microsoft Excel and Word.Must have thorough knowledge of poker tournament games offered by the Casino.If selected for this position, must be willing and available to change shift, days off and/or start time immediately upon effective date of employment/promotion.Work Environment:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; and taste or smell.
