Job summary

Prairie Meadows Casino, Racetrack, and Hotel is seeking a Poker Supervisor to oversee and support our team of poker dealers, ensuring smooth game flow and high-level guest service.

Shift is 6pm-2am Sunday/Monday/Thursday and 8pm-4am Friday/Saturday with Tuesdays/Wednesdays off. Responsibilities include supervising staff, coaching, disciplining as needed, monitoring game activity for integrity, resolving customer issues, and upholding gaming policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years multi-game dealing experience preferred.
• Complete knowledge of all games on the casino floor including rules and procedures.
• Proficiency in training staff and implementing disciplinary actions as needed.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, coach, and issue discipline to staff as needed.
• Monitor game activities across locations and report irregularities.
• Ensure effective gaming services within designated areas.
• Respond to and resolve customer complaints to maintain courteous service.

Here’s what you’ll be responsible for:

• Responsible for the supervision, training, coaching, and issuing discipline as needed for staff.
• Maintain constant awareness of activities of all games in assigned locations in order to observe and report any suspicious or irregular activity and awareness of how each game stands with gains/losses and dealer performance.
• Assume overall responsibility for the effective gaming service activities for a designated area.
• Respond to and resolve customer complaints, concerns, or problems to ensure courteous and friendly service to all gaming guests.

Requirements:

Minimum of two years multi-game dealing experience preferred.Complete knowledge of all games on the casino floor including rules, policies, procedures, and cheating methods required.Must complete a wide variety of specific games training programs with resulting proficiency in required pit games. Must be able to use a computer and communicate effectively with customers as well as all levels of employees. Must be able to stand or walk for an entire 8 to 10-hour shift. This position spends the majority of shifts on the casino floor and is subject to varying levels of crowds, noise, and smoke. Must be able to distinguish various colors. Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. Must be able to work varied hours including weekends and holidays.
