Job summary

Saracen Casino Resort in Pine Bluff, AR, seeks a Poker Shift Supervisor to oversee day-to-day operations of the Poker Room during the assigned shift. You will ensure compliance with gaming regulations, manage staff performance, and deliver exceptional guest experiences.

The role requires leadership, strong communication skills, and the ability to handle disputes professionally. This is a full-time on-site position with daily/weekly scheduling and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prefer three years of dealing and one year of Casino or Poker Supervisor experience.
• Must demonstrate leadership, fairness, and sensibility to the customers and team members.
• Must possess excellent communication skills.
• Must possess basic computer skills, with at least a rudimentary knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook Express.
• Ability to write routine correspondence and to speak effectively to the public; guests and team members.
• Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with all customers and team members.
• Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Gaming License.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
• Employment is contingent upon a favorable outcome of a background investigation and drug screening.
• Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Poker department operation during the assigned shift.
• Monitor controls to ensure compliance with state, federal, and tribal regulations.
• Resolve customer and employee disputes with strong customer service.
• Monitor for potential collusion or circumvention and report.
• Assist in identifying disturbances and coordinating with supervisors.
• Evaluate team performance and provide feedback.
• Ensure staffing aligns with business levels and schedule.
• Handle payroll duties and attendance records for Poker staff.
• Maintain a professional and clean poker area and communicate updates to the team.
• Adhere to safety standards and company policies.
