Job summary

Nebraska Medicine is seeking a Pharmacist Program Coordinator to lead patient-oriented pharmaceutical care services within the Poison Center team. The role includes creation and maintenance of care plans, drug monitoring, guideline development, and education for clinical staff.

Qualified candidates bring five years of clinical practice or ASHP PGY-2 residency, PharmD or equivalent, Nebraska licensure, and strong leadership. The position is full-time and benefits eligible on East Campus in Omaha.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years clinical practice in the clinical specialty or ASHP accredited PGY-2 residency required.
• Graduate of an ACPE-accredited Doctor of Pharmacy degree program or equivalent with 10 years of experience required.
• Demonstrate excellence in clinical areas and in training students, residents, and pharmacists.
• Must be licensed in Nebraska or applicable jurisdiction upon start.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an AHA-endorsed program required for new hires.

Responsibilities

• Lead the provision of patient-oriented pharmaceutical care services including care plan creation and maintenance, cost-effective therapeutic drug monitoring, drug utilization, guideline development and drug use evaluation.
• Provide training and educational support for development of clinical skills in staff.
• Disseminate new knowledge, utilization trends and outcomes information related to medication use and pharmacist care programs.
