Job summary

Upperline Health is seeking an energetic, compassionate Medical Assistant to support physicians in the Columbus, IN clinic. You will handle exam intake, vitals, x-ray assistance, and essential clinical/administrative tasks while collaborating with podiatry and orthopedic specialists.

Ideal candidates have MA experience, podiatry/orthopedic exposure, strong communication, and familiarity with Athenahealth EMR.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.
• Podiatry or Orthopedic clinic experience preferred.
• X-ray experience is a plus.
• Clinical care coordination or care management experience is ideal.
• Experience assisting geriatric patients preferred.
• Excellent computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology.
• EMR experience, preferably Athenahealth.

Responsibilities

• Place patients in exam rooms and prepare them for physician appointments.
• Complete exam intake including medical history and present illness.
• Record vitals and document in Athenahealth EMR.
• Assist physicians with exams and take X-rays as needed.
• Perform daily administrative tasks and restock exam rooms.
• Clean and sterilize exam and X-ray rooms after visits.
• Coordinate care for Upperline Plus patients and outreach.
