Job summary

Ankle & Foot Centers of America seeks a podiatry medical assistant to support back-office clinical work in our Buckhead/Stockbridge/Fayetteville offices. The role involves vitals, patient prep, injections, casting, debridement, X-rays, and Epic charting.

The position requires a High School diploma, up to light travel, and a preference for 1 year of MA experience, MA certification, and Epic familiarity. Schedule is Mon-Fri, 7:45am-4:45pm, at multiple Atlanta-area offices.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of experience preferred.
• Medical Assistant Certification is preferred.
• Epic experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for examination by taking vitals and recording medical history.
• Escort patients to and from exam rooms.
• Schedule surgeries and coordinate with surgical centers.
• Assist physician with procedures and give injections as directed.
• Perform nail debridement and casting-related tasks.
• X-rays, sterile instrument handling, and charting in Epic.
• Handle phone calls, patient messages, and insurance verifications.
• Maintain clean exam rooms and assist front office staff as needed.
