Job summary

Austin Regional Clinic is seeking a Medical Assistant to support provider practice with patient care duties under nursing leadership. You will perform triage, patient preparation, vital signs, and medication administration while ensuring EMR documentation is accurate and compliant.

The role requires teamwork, strong communication, and adherence to HIPAA. Work hours are Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:30 PM, with benefits including medical, dental, vision, PTO, 401(k), and more.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of Medical Assistant program or equivalent training.
• Medical Assistant certification preferred; CPR/BLS required.
• Experience providing direct patient care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Rooms patients, records vital signs, and prepares for exams.
• Administers medications under physician direction.
• Performs EKGs, audiograms, spirometry, and documents in EPIC.
• Reviews refill in basket and handles ARC refill protocol.
• Reviews triage calls and informs patients of results.
• Maintains inventory and cleans and stocks rooms.
• May assist with procedures and equipment setup/cleanup.
• Adheres to HIPAA, OSHA, and clinic policies.
