Job summary

Austin Regional Clinic is seeking a Staff Medical Assistant to join our team. You will support providers, administer medications as directed, and prepare patients for examinations in a busy clinical setting.

The role requires a high school diploma or MA program completion, with MA certification preferred. You’ll work with a supportive team and follow ARC protocols in a compliant environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or swap via MA program graduate.
• Medical Assistant program completion or equivalent experience preferred.
• MA certification in the field is preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and completely reports and documents status, care rendered, and provider communications.
• Refills medications following ARC protocols.
• Room patients, document vital signs, and prep for exam.
• Perform diagnostic testing as directed (EKG, audiograms, tympanograms, spirometry).
• Maintain stocked supplies and equipment; order as needed.
• Review refill baskets and assist with daily medication requests.
• Triage calls and document patient interactions in EPIC.
• Assist with procedures and equipment setup.
• Adhere to OSHA, HIPAA, and Code of Conduct policies.
