Job summary

Austin Regional Clinic (ARC) is hiring a Staff Medical Assistant to join our team in Austin, TX. You will handle patient intake, document vital signs, assist with exams, manage refills, and support the nursing staff while upholding HIPAA and safety protocols.

This full-time role runs Mon-Fri 7:30a-4:30p and offers the opportunity to grow within a large medical group. Required to have a high school diploma or equivalent; medical assistant certification is preferred, with CPR/BLS within 60 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical Assistant experience or graduate of a medical assistant program, or CNA/EMT/PCT with direct patient care.
• Medical Assistant certification preferred and BLS/CPR within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Report and document patient status, care, and provider orders accurately.
• Refill medications following ARC protocols.
• Room patients, document vitals, and prepare for examinations.
• Perform diagnostic tests and report results per protocol.
• Monitor and stock supplies; assist with daily refills and triage calls.
• Follow clinic policies including HIPAA and safety guidelines.
