Job summary

US Foot & Ankle Specialists is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our podiatry practice. You will work closely with our clinicians, assisting with patient care in a fast-paced outpatient setting and providing hands-on support during exams and procedures.

We offer hands-on training, a team-focused environment, and opportunities to grow clinical skills. The role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to travel between local office locations as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of Medical Assistant program or 1+ year clinical experience.
• CMA or RMA certification preferred.
• Experience with medical terminology.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).

Responsibilities

• Welcome, room, and prepare patients for exams and in-office procedures.
• Take vitals, update medical histories, record medications/allergies, and document in the EMR.
• Assist physicians with minor procedures, post-op care, digital X-rays, and basic podiatric services.
• Apply dressings, DME, and provide patient instructions and education.
• Manage lab specimens, verifications and pre-authorizations, and process prescriptions as directed.
• Post-operative follow-up calls and patient inquiries with strong customer service.
• Prepare, clean, and close exam rooms; sterilize instruments; manage inventory and supplies.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant documentation and support back-office operations.
