Job summary

US Foot & Ankle Specialists is seeking a Medical Assistant to support podiatry physicians in a fast-paced outpatient setting. You will work closely with patients, prepare exam rooms, take vitals, and assist with minor procedures.

Hands-on training and ongoing clinical training are provided, making this an excellent opportunity for either an experienced Medical Assistant or someone looking to grow their clinical skills in podiatry.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Completion of a Medical Assistant program OR 1+ year of clinical experience.
CMA or RMA certification preferred.
Experience with medical terminology.
Strong communication, teamwork, and multitasking skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced clinic environment.
Detail‑oriented, professional, and patient‑focused.
Ability to travel between local office locations.

Responsibilities

Welcome, room, and prepare patients for exams and in‑office procedures.
Take vitals, update medical histories, record medications/allergies, and document in the EMR.
Assist physicians with minor procedures, post‑op care, digital X‑rays, and basic podiatric services.
Apply dressings, DME, and provide patient instructions and education.
Manage lab specimens, complete insurance verifications and pre‑authorizations, and process prescriptions as directed.
Make post‑operative phone calls, answer patient questions, and provide excellent customer service.
Open, prep, clean, and close exam rooms; sterilize instruments; manage inventory and supplies.
Maintain accurate documentation, support back‑office operations, and ensure HIPAA compliance.
