Job summary

Upperline Health Florida is seeking a Medical Assistant to support our podiatric physicians in the clinic setting. The role involves clinical tasks and administrative duties in the Cockeysville (Padonia) area, with responsibilities ranging from patient prep to charting and x-ray assistance.

Ideal candidates have podiatry or orthopedic experience, X-ray exposure, and proficiency with EMR systems (Athena preferred). A strong patient-care approach and reliable transportation are required.

Qualifications

• Previous Medical Assistant experience required.
• Podiatry or Orthopedic clinic experience preferred.
• X-ray experience is a plus.
• Excellent computer skills and strong knowledge of medical terminology.
• Experience with EMR – preferably Athena EMR.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Empathetic and professional demeanor in interactions.
• Stable work history and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Place patients in exam rooms and prepare them for the physician.
• Complete exam intake including medical history and histories.
• Ensure accurate charting for the physician.
• Provide patient care under the podiatric physician, including taking and developing x-rays.
• Perform daily administrative tasks such as stocking exam rooms and waste disposal.
• Sterilize exam and x-ray rooms and instruments daily.
• Satisfy required quality measures (MIPS).
