Job summary

Upperline Health is seeking an energetic Medical Assistant to support physicians in delivering hospital‑level care within our Memphis, TN clinic. You will perform clinical and administrative tasks, including taking vitals, assisting with exams, and coordinating care for Upperline Plus patients.

This role emphasizes podiatry/orthopedic exposure, X-ray work, and strong communication with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.
• Podriatry or Orthopedic clinic experience preferred.
• X-ray experience is a plus.
• Clinical care coordination or care management experience ideal.
• Experience with geriatric patients preferred.
• Excellent computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Place patients in exam rooms and prep them for physician visit.
• Complete intake by reviewing medical, social and surgical history.
• Record vitals and notes in Athenahealth EMR.
• Assist physician and take xrays when needed.
• Restock exam rooms and discard waste properly.
• Sterilize rooms and equipment after each patient.
• Coordinate care via referrals and appointment scheduling.
• Travel to nearby clinics to provide support if required.
