Upperline Health in Memphis, TN is seeking a proactive Medical Assistant to support podiatry/orthopedic care in a clinic setting. You will assist physicians, manage patient intake, perform vitals, and help with imaging as needed.

The role emphasizes patient-centered care, teamwork, and coordination of care across services. Experience with athenahealth and strong communication are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Hosp/clinic MA experience preferred.
• Podiatry/Orthopedic or clinic experience preferred.
• X-ray experience is a plus; EMR experience (Athenahealth) preferred.
• Strong communication and care coordination skills essential.
• Reliable transportation required; strong customer service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Place patients in exam rooms and prep them for physician visits.
• Complete intake and review medical history and present illness.
• Take vitals and document in Athenahealth EMR.
• Assist physician with exams and take X-rays as needed.
• Restock exam rooms and dispose of waste; sterilize as required.
• Coordinate care: records requests, referrals, scheduling, follow-ups.
• Travel to surrounding clinics if needed.
• Other duties as assigned by Upperline Health.
