Winning Assistants, Inc. is recruiting a Medical Virtual Assistant to support podiatry charting and referrals. The role combines clinical documentation with administrative tasks, including chart cleanup, faxes, eligibility checks, confirmations, and patient communication.

The ideal candidate has medical office experience, podiatry knowledge, and comfort handling physician documentation and workflows. Orthopedic or surgical experience is a plus and long‑term commitment is valued.

Formación

• Medical Assistant or clinical administrative experience required.
• Podiatry experience highly preferred due to terminology and workflows.
• Orthopedic or surgical experience is a plus.
• Experience in chart review, documentation, and chart preparation required.
• Experience processing referrals and supporting scheduling workflows required.
• Experience with fax management and routing of medical documents required.
• Experience making outbound patient calls and confirmations required.
• Experience performing insurance eligibility checks required.

Responsabilidades

• Review transcriptions and clean up clinical notes for physician review.
• Finalize charts and prepare for physician signature.
• Populate patient charts with referral details, test results, orders, and documentation.
• Ensure chart sections are accurate and organized.
• Send orders once notes are completed for physician signature.
• Process referrals and update patient charts.
• Call patients to schedule appointments and coordinate reminders.
• Track referral status and document information accurately.
• Sort and route incoming faxes to appropriate chart sections.
• Make confirmation calls and remind patients of appointments and no-show policies.
• Perform insurance eligibility checks and document coverage details.
• Support additional clinical/administrative duties as the role grows.
