Job summary

Balance Health’s Sacramento-based podiatry practice is seeking a licensed podiatrist to join a physician-led team in California. You will examine feet and legs, diagnose and treat conditions, perform surgeries when needed, and contribute to patient education and preventive care.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years professional experience preferred.
• Current License as a Podiatrist in the State of California.
• Doctoral degree in Podiatric Medicine from an Accredited School of Podiatry.
• Board certification through the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery preferred.
• Ability to observe, assess and record symptoms, reactions, and progress.
• Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for delivery of medical care.
• Knowledge of information and techniques to diagnose and treat injuries, diseases, and deformities.
• Ability to identify complex problems and evaluate options.
• Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
• PC proficiency with Microsoft Office and EMR databases.
• Ability to provide legal proof of work eligibility in the United States.
• Ability to pass background, DMV, and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Examine patients’ legs and feet to diagnose diseases.
• Treat bone, muscle, and joint disorders of the feet and ankles.
• Perform surgical procedures as necessary with wound care.
• Diagnose diseases and deformities of foot/ankle via history, exams, x-rays, labs.
• Prescribe medications, devices, therapy, or surgery.
• Educate patients about treatments and foot/ankle care.
• Provide education to patients, family, and health care team.
• Promote health and preventive medicine.
• Maintain medical records for assigned patients.
