Job summary

Upperline Health is seeking a well-trained Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) to provide foot and ankle care in a Shelby, North Carolina clinic. The candidate must demonstrate compassion for patient needs and thrive in a collaborative environment as the company expands.

Qualifications

• Degree of Doctor of Podiatric Medicine with appropriate certification and licensure is required.
• DPM license – active license preferred or the ability to obtain within applicable timeframe.
• Possession of DEA registration or eligibility required.
• CPR certification expected, and consistent with the state Board of Podiatric Medicine requirements.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills to ensure effective interactions with patients and team members.

Responsibilities

• Provide podiatric care in a clinic setting, including examination and treatment planning.
• Assess lower extremity complaints, review medical history, perform exams, and order imaging or labs.
• Educate patients and families on foot care, prevention, and medication usage.
• Maintain medical records per state regulations and Upperline Health policies.
• Participate in continuing education as required by the state Board of Podiatric Medicine.
• Prescribe medications as permitted by the state Board of Podiatric Medicine.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver holistic care.
