Job summary

Yale New Haven Hospital seeks an accomplished academic podiatric foot and ankle surgeon to serve as the Program Director of its CPME-accredited Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency Program. The director will lead educational strategy and maintain an active clinical practice within Yale New Haven Health.

The role focuses on resident education, mentorship, and advancing innovation in podiatric surgery, working closely with Yale New Haven Health and Yale School of Medicine faculty.

Qualifications

• DPM degree and board certification/eligibility (ABFAS)
• Unrestricted licensure or eligibility to practice podiatric medicine in CT
• Progressive leadership experience in graduate medical education or residency programs

Responsibilities

• Provide educational leadership for all aspects of the residency program.
• Develop, implement, and enhance a competency-based curriculum in podiatric medicine and foot and ankle surgery.
• Foster resident development in clinical judgment, surgical technique, and professionalism.
• Promote scholarly activity, quality improvement, and evidence-based practice.
• Oversee program administration, accreditation compliance, and faculty development.
