Job summary

Yale New Haven Health is seeking an accomplished academic podiatric foot and ankle surgeon to serve as the Program Director of its CPME-accredited Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency Program. The role centers on strategic leadership, resident education, and scholarly activity within a premier academic health system.

You will oversee curriculum development, clinical education across Yale New Haven Health, and faculty mentorship, while maintaining a high-quality clinical practice.

Qualifications

• Progressive leadership experience in graduate medical education.
• Experience as Program Director or Associate Program Director preferred.
• Academic appointment or eligibility at Yale School of Medicine preferred.
• Board Certification by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery (ABFAS) required.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for all aspects of the residency program.
• Develop, implement, and enhance a competency-based curriculum in podiatric medicine and surgery.
• Foster resident development in clinical judgment, surgical technique, professionalism, and lifelong learning.
• Promote scholarly activity, quality improvement, and evidence-based practice.
• Direct overall administration and ensure CPME accreditation compliance.
