Job summary

New York College of Podiatric Medicine in New York, NY seeks a dynamic Podiatrist to join the Surgery Department as a full-time faculty member and clinician, on-site five days per week.

The ideal candidate will educate and mentor students and residents, engage audiences, communicate effectively, and contribute to a collaborative academic environment.

This role emphasizes clinical care, teaching, and scholarly activity within affiliated hospitals.

Qualifications

• DPM degree is required.
• CPME approved residency is required.
• Board qualified or certified in Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle (RRA) from ABFAS is required.
• NYS License and current DEA Certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Time and Effort Schedule.
• Serve on a minimum of 2 College or Clinic committees.
• Establish a regular schedule for student academic consultation and performance evaluation.
• Provide annual updated curriculums vitae.
• Offer reserve time for student conferences/tutoring as needed.
• Advise students on independent research and provide guidance in area of expertise.
• Attend Grand Rounds and Clinical Pathological Conferences where applicable.
• Promote scholarly work via publications or funded research.
• Attend faculty and division meetings; communicate any planned absences.
• Participate in evaluation processes and remediation as required.
• Follow Faculty Dress Code as per Handbook.
• Attend Graduation and White Coat ceremonies; participate in annual retreat.
• Provide coverage for non-emergency and emergency assignments as needed with advance notice.
• Learn and utilize educational/clinical technology used by the College or Clinic.
• Participate in recruitment presentations and Open House events as feasible.
• Carry out full-time faculty responsibilities in alignment with the College mission.
