Job summary

Butterfly Network, a leading ultrasound company, seeks a Clinical Development and Validation Manager in a hybrid role based in New York or Burlington. You will translate clinician needs into validated, commercial products, leading clinical validation and integration testing across imaging, software, and product teams.

The role emphasizes patient outcomes, regulatory alignment, and cross-functional leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of R&D experience or equivalent.
• Bachelor degree in Biomedical or Ultrasound preferred.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience with Ultrasound Imaging and Medical Technologies; ARDMS preferred.
• At least 5 years’ experience in diagnostic ultrasound with POCUS.
• Current RDMS/RVT/RDCS registries highly valued.
• Excellent organization and time management skills.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
• Self-motivated with ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to translate customer needs into product requirements.
• Willingness and ability to travel.

Responsibilities

• Assist with customer engagements, focus groups, user groups, advisory boards, and other market activities.
• Define, document, and execute Clinical Validation tests with traceability to requirements.
• Collaborate with Ultrasound Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software, Deep Learning, and Product teams.
• Provide clinical input to product definition, assessment, and development.
• Develop working knowledge of diagnostic and monitoring tools used by PoC physicians.
• Create plans and reports to support development timelines.
• Support system life cycle and software integration testing.
• Review requirements, design documents, and overall processes for improvement.
• Provide input to CER, Clinical Validation Plan and related documentation.
• Travel to support validation activities and customer interactions.
