Job summary

Community Health Systems is seeking a POCT Coordinator to oversee point-of-care testing across the facility, ensuring regulatory compliance, quality control, training, and competency assessments for non-laboratory staff. The role partners with departments to maintain timely, accurate results in line with clinical laboratory standards.

The candidate will operate and troubleshoot POCT devices, implement QA programs, and lead audits and training records to support accreditation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in the specified fields (Chemical/Physical/Biological/Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology).
• 1–3 years of experience performing or coordinating POCT.
• 1–2 years of experience with laboratory quality control programs.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and coordinates POCT implementation and maintenance per hospital policies and regulations.
• Develops and maintains QC/QA programs for POCT including calibration, troubleshooting, and corrective actions.
• Operates, verifies, and maintains POCT analyzers with proper documentation.
• Trains and assesses competency of non-laboratory staff performing POCT.
