Job summary

IS4S in Auburn, AL (with Huntsville, AL option) is seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to support the development, integration, and verification of assured PNT systems on-site. You will contribute to resilient navigation and timing solutions for platforms operating in challenging environments where GPS/GNSS may be degraded or unavailable.

The role covers the systems engineering lifecycle from requirements translation to test planning, verification, and platform integration.

Qualifications

• This role requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Systems Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• 2–10 years of relevant engineering experience in systems engineering, integration, testing, or verification.
• Experience supporting requirements development, documentation, system testing, or verification activities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Develop, decompose, and manage system and subsystem requirements with traceability.
• Support system architecture development, analyses, and trade studies.
• Develop and execute test plans to verify and validate requirements.
• Analyze test data and document results and corrective actions.
• Support hardware and software integration of PNT sensors onto platforms.
• Participate in lab testing, hardware-in-the-loop testing, field trials, and demonstrations.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation and verification reports.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to resolve challenges across the lifecycle.
